Christie received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005.  While in law school she was selected to participate in the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic.  During the year long clinical program, Christie represented individuals with misdemeanor cases and parole violation hearings.  Christie was also a volunteer with the Innocence Project.  Her first experience with the New York City criminal justice system was while interning at New York County Defenders during the summer of 2004. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from University of California Los Angeles, from which she graduated cum laude.
