Trial Supervisor

 

Harvey Mandelcorn is the most experienced and senior attorney on our staff. He has tried over 150 felony cases, including 25 homicides in his career as a criminal defense attorney. For most of his professional life, Mr. Mandelcorn was a private practitioner specializing in criminal work, both state and federal. He has been with Brooklyn Defender Services since it was founded in 1996 in the capacity of trial supervisor. Mr. Mandelcorn trains and supervises attorneys and is integral to our recruiting. He also represents clients in the most challenging cases in the office.

 

When he isn't working, Mr Mandelcorn spends time restoring and racing antique hot rods and raising and showing championship AKC Hungarian Komondors.

 

Mr. Mandelcorn has taught undergraduate law classes to students at Syracuse University. He is currently admitted to practice in New York State Courts, New York Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court.
