Jorge Guzman

Investigator

 

Jorge Guzman is the chief of our investigative unit.  He retired from the New York City Police Department, after twenty years of service.  His final rank was Detective 2nd Grade.

 

Mr. Guzman worked in the following units of the Police Department:

 

1.    Robbery Auto

2.    Street Narcotics Unit

3.    Anti-Crime

4.    Robbery Identification Program

5.    Detective Squad- Specializing in Homicide Investigation

6.    After Sept 11, 2001- he was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force (WMD)

 

Mr. Guzman has been decorated through out his career, with the Honor Legion Award, The Exceptional Merit, Commendation Medal, Ten Meritorious Medals and Thirty-five Excellent Police Duty Medals.

 

Upon retiring the Police Department in 2003, Mr. Guzman worked for the Health Care System (S.I.U.H.) as,

 

1.    Certified HealthCare Safety Professional

2.    Certified Hazardous Materials Coordinator

3.    Certified Hazmat for Health Care Instructor

4.    Certified Health Care Site Construction Safety Officer.

 

Mr. Guzman joined Brooklyn Defender Services where his excellent investigative skills are put to use on behalf of our clients.
